Hindu religion respects all life however small, often actively supporting them so feeding bird or chapatis to cows, dogs and even elephants is a normal scene.

As a result, wildlife thrives everywhere and often birds are very colourful.

Pratima, combines found objects and creates mixed media pieces that tell stories of her imaginations.

“Looking/observing comes from my scientific training. For ever I am collecting things that I find interesting, not know how or what I would use it for. My collections of driftwood came to its use when I started to make little birds and I imagined them in nature catching up or having a gossip. Usually creating these sculpture is seeing what works together and does it convey some emotion?” Says Pratima
